Frequently asked questions
General Questions
At the date and time of your appointment, your RxLive pharmacist will either call you (if you chose to connect via a phone call) or join you via Zoom video (you will be emailed the Zoom video link). They will spend 30 minutes with you discussing your prescriptions, over-the-counter meds or supplements you’re taking. This consult will help ensure your meds are working well together, while answering any questions you may have. Our clinical pharmacist will also look for ways to help you take fewer pills and save money. At the end of the appointment, both you and your doctor will each receive a written summary of the appointment.
The pharmacist will call you directly using the Zoom software app, which is why your caller ID may say “Zoom”. When you answer the call, you will be prompted to join the meeting in progress by pressing 1 on your keypad.
Please have your insurance card or specific prescription card (sometimes called Part D for Medicare patients) on hand. This way, your pharmacist can check if there are ways to potentially save you money through your insurance. Collect all of your prescriptions, over-the-counter medication, vitamins and supplements and have them within reach for the call. If you have a caregiver or someone who helps with your meds or overall health, please have them join the appointment.
To join your Zoom video-chat appointment, please click on the web link that will be sent to your email. You’ll also receive a reminder text message that includes this link. Make sure you click the link a few minutes before your appointment so you can test that your device’s microphone, speakers and camera are on and ready to go.
Depending on your insurance, you may be charged a small co-pay for this service. If you haven’t yet met your deductible, this will go towards it.
Please contact us at (866) 234-4974. We appreciate 24 hours’ notice to reschedule an appointment.
RxLive will mail you a copy of your appointment summary within 14 business days. (Due to postal delays, it may take up to 21 business days for you to receive it). Your provider will also receive a copy of the consultation summary to discuss with you at your next in-office appointment.
It’s important for you to speak with a pharmacist on a regular basis to review your medications. Your pharmacist wants to follow up on any changes you’ve made since you last spoke. If no changes have been made, it’s still important to talk with the pharmacist to make sure all of your medications continue to work well and your health status hasn’t changed.
